Draw Something App

I don’t typically write app reviews, I have about 300 apps on my Droid Bionic, and most of them are pretty fun. But yesterday, my sister invited me to play Draw Something – which is like words with friends and pictionary combined. It has changed my life, and brought my work productivity to 0. I have since recruited some of my coworkers to play, thus reducing the offices overall productivity – which I would never do for something that wasn’t this much fun. The app is free, and like pictionary- you draw pictures for the other person to guess. I haven’t figured out the scoring system yet, but I don’t really care who wins, its hilarious watching your friends draw and redraw something really poorly. Get the app, and play with me I’m Yvetteg555, and I’m a pretty awesome drawer!

P.S. Its on android and iPhone so you have no excuse unless your a bberry.

Batali Pang Sandwich – Num Pang NYC

Did I mention that I love the Cambodian sandwich place, Num Pang? Well in case you didn’t read yesterdays post. I do. So much in fact that I returned to have them for lunch for the second day in a row, this time trying Celebrity chef Mario Batali’s signature sandwich, aptly called the Batali Pang. It was heaven,cotechinno sausage (don’t know what this is but I know its delicious!), carrots, cucumber, some sort of thin cheese and what tasted like pickled sweet onions, all slathered with spicy chili mayo in between two beautiful baguettes. Grilled Skirt Steak Sandwich – Num Pang

The most delicious Cambodian sandwich I have ever tasted, ok the first Cambodian sandwich I have ever tasted but it also happened to be the best. Grilled skirt steak was tender and flavorful, perfect ratio of carrots cucumbers and sauce to top it off, fresh roll with the crispy outside and soft inside. Came with a side a what tasted like sriracha. Num Pang in midtown nyc is my new favorite spot

Kleenex Cool Touch

Im a sneezing machine. Allergies – I have them all year long.
Normally, I buy the tissue with the lotion in it. And it helps to keep my nose from chafing – but I recently bought Kleenexs new Cool Touch tissues, and Im amazed. The tissues feel like they came out of the fridge. Not sure how they do it, because the tissue actually feels cold on your face. Their website says its a special blend of cooling ingredients, me personally, I think its magic.

Soyummi Rice Pudding

After reading a frightening book about all the reasons you shouldn’t drink Milk, I began hunting for some tasty non milk alternatives. I found Soyummi soy rice pudding at Wegmans and am hooked. If the containers weren’t so hard to open I’d probably eat 3 a day. It’s just a tasty creamy healthier version of one of my favorite desserts.

Simple, and delicious. Larabars were finally on sale at Shoprite, so I stocked up. Now that the world is paying more attention to chemicals and other partially hydrogenated junk, it surprises me that Larabars arent more well known. These things are awesome. Its got a list of ingredients you can count on one hand (sometimes two), and they taste ridiculously good. If you havent tried one, get on it.

So Delicious Coconut Milk – Ice Cream

There will eventually be a post for everything that So Delicious makes, because everything is.. so.. delicious.

This ice cream is my weakness. It tastes much pure-er than any coconut flavored ice cream, not terribly sweet – but very creamy. I eat about 1/2 of the tub in one sitting before I make my hubs take it away. Great for the lactose intolerant, awesome for guys who dont want to eat soy. Ever better-er for people who LOVE coconuts. I love coconuts.

Seche Vite

Best top coat ever. It bonds to the nail polish and makes nails super shiny. The only thing that takes getting used to is the thickness, try to use as few strokes as possible and get plenty on the brush when you dip. I did this on one half of my nails and went to bed. My other nails had tons of pillow fabric lines, the seche nails were perfect! Buy it at most beauty supply stores, you’ll be hooked.

I read about this stuff on a blog somewhere, I was trying to find some miracle to get the gray stains out of my white collared shirts. I love wearing white dress shirts, but I cant stand how the collars get so dirty, and I figured because the stains were so old that they were impossible to get out.. Well, Im happy to say this stuff works miracles. I had to buy it online, at a cleaner supply store – but you should be able to find it at ACE Hardware.

Easy to use – spray it on, wait 10 minutes brush it off, and launder. I actually noticed the stains were gone before I even through it in the laundry! One thing I will say is that spraying the can will put out some harsh fumes. Do it with the window open!

Natures Plus – Vegetarian Fruitein

My husband drinks a lot of protein shakes. Most of them taste pretty horrible. I picked up a can of Natures Plus Vegetarian Fruitein – in Exotic Red Fruit. Its loaded with red fruits and vegetables – and when mixed with milk (I mix it with So Delicious Coconut Milk) it tastes absolutely delicious. Like a fruit smoothie. Check the ingredients list – its got every red fruit you could want (Pomegranate, Goji, Noni, Acai, Raspberry, Strawberry, and even some none red fruits like apricot, pineapple, pear and guava. I feel like its a girly protein shake, although my hubby likes it too.
